BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Sir Oinksalot, the potbelly pig, just found a new home.
This morning, the 150-pound pig was auctioned off at the The Brunswick County Animal Protective Services shelter.
Cape Fear Fair and Expo 2nd Vice President Skip Watkins said the Cape Fear Fair and Expo rescued Sir Oinksalot with a winning bid of $300. Watkins says he will be featured at the 2018 fair and in an upcoming fair promotion.
Sir Oinksalot was named by staff at The Brunswick County Animal Protective Services shelter.
Despite the circumstances he came from, shelter director Sgt. Colin Smoots said the roughly 5-year-old, 150-pound pig is “a pretty nice guy.”
